Desalination Plants

With Reverse Osmosis System

PRINCIPLE

The reverse osmosis (RO) is a membrane process which removes both salts and organic microorganism from sea water and brackish water. The purification process is very simple: under-pressure water is filtered throught a membrane. The resulting product is called "permeated" . The water obtained is a fresh water and as been completely sterilized since membranes do not allow single salt molecules pass throught, they are even less likely to let bacteria and viruses, which have bigger dimensions penetrate. The remaining part is more concentrated water, not utilized.

PROCESS

The pre-treated water is pushed through semipermeable membranes under high pressure, which remove salts, minerals, and microorganisms. The result is fresh, completely sterilized water, as the membranes block the passage of bacteria, viruses, and other impurities. This ensures that the water produced is safe for human consumption and industrial use, meeting the highest standards of purity.

ADVANTAGES

High Water Quality: The water produced is free of salts, minerals, and microorganisms, making it safe and of high quality for various uses.

Energy Efficiency: Marinco's energy recovery technologies significantly reduce energy consumption, making the process more sustainable and cost-effective

The machines are fully automatic, ensuring ease of use and enhanced safety.
Each unit can be customized to meet specific customer requirements

WHY choose marinco

1

Marinco desalination plants have a pretreatment with products specifically designed for such systems and do not use hydrochloric acid or caustic soda: • They are therefore easier to use.
• There is no need for special rooms to store toxic materials.
• They offer the best performance.
• They increase the production of desalinated water.

2

We use an additional system for water sterilization based on a mechanical physical system with Ultra Violet: • It increases the lifespan of cartridge filters.
• It prevents the formation of bacterial flora in the tubes.
• It prevents viruses and bacteria growth, which could decrease the production of permeate.

3

The systems are designed with a fresh water rinse system using self-produced water: • We don’t use the ship’s storage tank water.
• Inlet water is safe (chlorinated water is harmful to the membranes).

4

Directly on the machine is a tank for washing the membranes: • It’s easy to dose products.
• Maintenance is much faster.
• It offers control over the entire operation.
• The system is more compact and modular.

5

To follow Green Tech technologies, we have an energy recovery system: • The system is more efficient with a smaller design.
• Transportation is less expensive, and assembly is faster.
• Management and maintenance costs are lower, and the water produced per cubic meter is cheaper.
• It’s a GreenTech technology that respects the environment and improves performance.
• The membranes are innovative, and the salinity achieved is optimal, even with the use of nanotechnology.
• There is a re-alkalinization system to neutralize the acid solution, based on a physical Green Tech technology.

6

The machines are fully automatic, facilitating ease of use and improving safety: • They control pressure and manage start and stop.
• They manage washing and maintenance.
• With PLC and inverters, they manage water production.
• All management is through a single command, but it can also be completely manual when needed.

7

The machine is equipped with the Marinco SDS (self-diagnostic system): • It checks each operation.
• It manages alarms and maintenance.
• It has onboard digital sensors that can also function in manual mode.
• All operations are monitored, such as alarms, water quality, and maintenance, creating a data history.
• It can be operated remotely, allowing the desalination unit to be managed from another location (e.g., engine control room).
• With the data history, maintenance can be scheduled in advance, and future operating costs can be estimated.

8

Partnerships & Consulting with Our Suppliers: • Guarantee of innovation and product quality.
• Provide technical drawings and certifications.
• Optimize costs and service speed.

9

Custom & Engineering: • Engineers and technicians for site inspections and visits.
• A team that coordinates with technical staff and clients to meet specific requirements.

10

Service, Assistance, and Maintenance: • We provide and deliver services, products, and items for RO units.
• A worldwide network of specialized staff available within 24-48 hours from the request (service depends on transport and access to the site).
